The suppect is an indigene of Nise Awka South Local Government Area, but Currently resides at Otigba street 3-3, ran amok in circumstances yet to be ascertained and attacked his wife Mrs Onyinye Obi, a thirty-one year old lady with a kitchen knife and inflicted multiple injuries all over her body.
The State’s Police Public Relations Officer CSP Haruna Mohammed, Stated that Police detectives visited the scene and took the victim to Apex hospital for medical attention but was comfirmed dead on arrival by a medical doctor and corpse layed at the hospital’s morgue for autopsy.

He said that the Kitchen knife used in perpetrating the cruel act was also recovered and registered as an exhibit by the state police detectives.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Monday Bala Kuryas, has directed the DPO of 3-3 Police Station to transfer the case to State Criminal Investigation Department, Awka, for discreet investigation in order to discover the actual cause of the incident before the perpetrator of the crime will face his due punishment
