This is total risk and one should be very careful of this type of bridges in Nigeria. Though according to the report, this happened in Enugu state. It is the Isi bridge connecting Ogurugu Uzo-uwani local government in Enugu state. According to the report, the bridge is now down. This happened while a trailer conveying goods was trying to pass on it yesterday. The bridge connecting isn't strong enough and such a big vehicle shouldn't have passed through it.
This is really shocking after a bridge collapsed when a trailer was trying to pass on it. This is a bridge made of woods and it isn't strong enough for heavy vehicles. That a trailer would even think of passing through the bridge is stupid enough. That such a bridge is even made is very poor of the state. This is not the only state that has such a bridge. Instead of making a good bridge for cars and trailers to be able to pass, it'll be one made by woods that can collapse anytime.
For the Is bridge on Enugu state, it collapsed yesterday when a trailer with goods tried to pass on it. We thank God that it wasn't deeps enough to carry the trailer away. If not, we would be recording loss of goods and lives at the same time. There is a plea that the Enugu state government would do something as soon as possible to the bridge.
