Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack Is Not Act Of Vandalism-NRC Managing Director.

The managing director of Nigeria Railways Cooperation, Fidet Okhiria said that the attack on Abuja-kaduna train is not "act of vandalism". He is hoping that train services across the country will resume Friday or Saturday just oneday after he announced suspension due to security concerns.

It was gathered that NRC made suspension announcement on their website on Thursday afternoon, after unknown people attacked train that was traveling from Kaduna to Abuja on Wednesday.

The managing director questioned why local reports will see the incident as "Vandalism" as he explained that the NRC press release did not mention anything like that.

He went further to say that they are working very hard and hopefully by Saturday they will be able to resume train services.

Senator Shehu Sani who was one of passengers, on thursday morning wrote on social media that after the attack on Wednesday by bandits on their trip from Kaduna to Abuja that their train hit damaged railings. "This shows that the attack was not vandals but bandits," he says.
