The rate of killing by these killer herdsmen if not stopped could degenerate into a very chaotic society where every Fulani may be victims of retaliation, as the bad ones are spoiling the name of the entire tribe.
With the killing of over 20 people in Ebonyi state, the Igbo women are no longer going to fold their hands and watch their husbands and children being slaughtered by these herdsmen. Hence, they have vowed to protest naked on every Igbo Land to show their distaste in the current happening in the region. To draw the government attention towards the region in a bid to provide solution and bring to justice the perpetrators of the killings in their land.
This instructions was issued by the Igbo Women Socio-Cultural Organisation. As they lament the waste of lives of Igbo indigenes by killer herdsmen and condemn the attack on residents by the Nigerians soldiers. More so, the protest is also in solidarity with the police men and women that have been killed by unknown gunmen. As the group calls for stronger and proactive measures by the government to put an end to the killings in the region.
What do you think about this? Is protesting naked going to sway the government to act? Let's hear your opinion. Comment below
