Information reaching our news desk has it that gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted seven children of the factional Chairman of the All Progressive Congress in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Alhaji Gyare Karauri Sani.
The gunmen demeaded fifty million naira to release the kidnap victims and further threated that if the ransom was not quickly paid that the children will be killed.
The victims are Bashar, Abubakar,Haruna,Habibah,Sufyanu, Mubarak and Armiya, report has it that they were kidnapped on Friday last week in Kadauri village.
According to Gyare, the gunmen called him on phone and told him to quickly make the money available or risk the lives of his seven children.
The Chairman when asked whether he has contacted relevant authorities on the matter, he further said that there is no need for that because they are fully aware what happened to him but they have not sympathised him.
He added that Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Bala Bello Maru is from his own local government but he didn't come to his house to sympathise with him or even call on phone.

He also complained that the chairman of his Local Government Area, Alhaji Salisu Dangulbi didn't even reach out to him on the matter and further said that he felt like a stranger at the moment.
