Nigerians need to be careful about internet freebies these days as scammers have devised another wiser means of emptying their victims' accounts.
According to the information revealed by the narrator identified as Jolz and shared by Naija_Pr. The man dropped his phone number under a giveaway post for 1GB of data. He later got a call that he was selected as a winner and that he would receive an OTP which he needed to send back to the caller. Unfortunately, his 63k bank account balance was emptied after sending the OTP to the caller.
This seems like a very easy way for scammers to make money from freebie lovers. People should desist from dropping their numbers for giveaways on social media.
