Apart from the attack on Joe Igbokwe's house in Nnewi by these hoodlums, the police headquarters which is also located at Nnewi was also attacked and burnt down in the process.

According to the reports gathered, the incident which occured around 1pm today, resulted in the death of many Operatives. Eye witnesses claimed that the attacks were burnt down the police station because of the Nigerian flag that was hosted in the premises.Photo Credit: Peoples Gazette

It is still unclear whether the attacks were carried out by the same group of hoodlums. Nonetheless, these two attacks by hoodlums in Nnewi today is highly regrettable and should not be Condoned. All necessary authorities should spring into action and ensure that those involved in the act are brought to book. The constant killing of security operatives is not the way forward. It will only bring pain and sorrow to the masses.
