5 Signings That Would transform Man United into title challengers next season

With a Carabao Cup already under their belt, Manchester United finally look to be heading in the right direction for the first time since the Sir Alex Ferguson era.

Excellent and patient recruitment in the summer gave the squad the boost they needed. It is vital to the club’s development that they continue this policy and do not fall back into signing ‘big names’ for the sake of it.

With the club's ambitions sky-high, strategic signings are vital to strengthen their squad and mount a serious title challenge. Here, we explore some potential signings that could transform Manchester United into genuine contenders for top honors.

1. Harry Kane:

One name that has frequently emerged in transfer rumors is Harry Kane on Manchester United transfer list.

The Tottenham striker is facing an uncertain future in north London with the 29-year-old tied down at the club until 2024.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker's vast experience in the Premier League makes him an ideal addition to Manchester United's roster.

The arrival of the England international in Old Trafford could elevate United to the next level following their Carabao Cup triumph this season.

So they’ve got to go all out the Glazers, hopefully they will spend money next season in singing Tottenham striker and Manchester United next season will be title contenders for me.

2. Sadio Mane:

Sadio Mane is set to leave Bayern Munich this summer with Manchester United emerging as a shock transfer option for the former Liverpool forward.

Mane joined Bayern Munich in a £35.1million agreement from Anfield last summer. The experienced forward pulled the curtain down on six trophy-laden seasons at the Merseyside club after making it clear he wanted a new challenge.

However, things have not gone to plan for the forward at Bayern. The 31-year-old was returning to action after being suspended by the German champions for a Bundesliga clash last month after allegedly hitting teammate Leroy Sane following their 3-0 Champions League defeat at Man City.

Recent reports suggest that Bayern Munich is no longer interested in retaining the services of Sadio Mané, the former Liverpool star. Manchester United should take advantage of this situation and swoop in for the highly talented Senegalese winger.

His addition would inject an electric presence into United's attacking line, complementing their existing talent and adding an extra dimension to their play.

3. Edson Alvarez:

Edson Alvarez is a 25-year-old Mexican holding midfielder who is known for his ball retention and strong presence in the middle of the park. As well as this, he has excellent positional awareness as well as an ability to slot into centre-back.

Having already been under the management of Ten Hag, he knows the coach’s style of play. If he were to follow in the likes of Lisandro Martinez and Antony to United, he could thrive in the Premier League.

The Mexican international inclusion in the squad would offer ten Hag additional strategic choices and provide an alternative approach to breaking down stubborn defenses, and also centre-back back to Exceptional

4. Kim Min-jae:

In Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez, United appear to have found a centre-back partnership with the potential to belatedly replace Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.

But Ten Hag clearly doesn’t trust Victor Lindelof or Harry Maguire as he has picked left-back Luke Shaw in central defence ahead of the duo.

United will need to sign a new centre-back in the summer and the Daily Mirror claim that United have renewed their interest in Min-jae

The South Korea international is nicknamed ‘The Monster’ due to his 6ft 3in physique and has a €45m release clause in his contract that will come into effect in the summer of 2023.
