Man United interested in signing Sven Botman

According to reports in the British media, Man United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to sign a new centre back to partner Harry Maguire this summer. The likes of Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof have been played in that role this season but it appears neither of them is good enough.

The club now wants to sign imposing Dutch centre back Sven Botman from French side Lille. It is reported that due to the economic implications of the Corona Virus enforced lockdown, the 21 year old could be allowed to leave the club this season.

Man United are also said to be interested in Nikola Milenkovic, Jules Kounde, Raphael Varane and Pau Torres. However, Botman would be the cheaper of all the options available to Solskjaer.

The Netherland under 21 international has been in terrific form for Lille this season. He has made a total of 35 appearances in the league for Lille this season.
