One Record Ronaldo Has Made At Old Trafford After Scoring Against Villarreal In UCL

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the footballers who seem not to be tired of breaking and making records time after time in the 2021/22 football season. By the time he is being praised for making one record in a particular game, he is already planning how to make another one in the next game.

Manchester United is presently occupying top positions both at the English Premier League and Europe because of the brilliant performances of Cristiano Ronaldo among other players at Old Trafford. This feat could have been impossible if Ronaldo has not been very active in the colours of the Red Devils.

In this write-up, we shall be considering One Record Ronaldo Has Made At Old Trafford As He Scores Against Villareal In the UEFA Champions League Group Stages.

It should be recalled that Cristiano Ronaldo is currently one of the oldest players in the camp of Manchester United at the age of 36 years and 236 days. At this age, Ronaldo is still scoring goals game after game even more than the younger players at Old Trafford. As at the last match played by the Red Devils, Ronaldo has scored not less than 5 goals in about eight matches he starts for the team both at the local league and Europe.

Ronald has proved that age is never a factor that should stop a player in his caliber from doing the needful by scoring goals especially at moments when it seems as if all hope is lost. An instance was the goal the talented Portuguese international scored against Villareal at the 94th minute of the UEFA Champions League Group Stages encounter at Old Trafford.

The match has been balanced as scores stood at 1-1 and it seems Manchester United would share points with Villareal but Ronaldo put up a brilliant performance by scoring the winning goal for the Reds Devils at the tail end of the game for Manchester United to secure all three points and move steps ahead on the UCL Group table.

With this feat, Ronaldo has become the second oldest Manchester United player to score a goal in European competition at Old Trafford. The player with the record of the oldest United player to score in European competition at Old Trafford is Bryan Robson who was 36 years and 282days at that time scored against Galatasaray in 1993.

It should be noted that the record older Bryan Robson has retired from active football and cannot play for United again. Ronaldo is still playing active football for the Red Devils. He therefore still have the opportunity of breaking the record if he is able to score more goals for United probably in their subsequent home games in the UEFA Champions League at Old Trafford.

Do you think that this record would be difficult for Ronaldo to break? Is Ronaldo not becoming an institution to be studied in the world of football?
