Chelsea will have Romelu Lukaku back in the team this weekend. The Belgian has recovered from an injury he suffered against Malmo lat month.
With Romelu Lukaku coming back into the Chelsea attack, the quest for who can combine well with the former Inter Milan man continues.
Before Lukaku got injured, there were talks about him not having the best chemistry with his other Chelsea forwards.
Thomas Tuchel has tried pairing Lukaku with Havertz, Mount, and Werner, but it just hasn’t clicked yet.
However, injuries to Lukaku and Timo Werner has afforded other players some game time, and some have taken their chance well.
Hudson Odoi has been in good form since last month. He has had a run of games now and he contributed a lot to the Chelsea attack especially in October. Callum Hudson-Odoi has created the most chances for Chelsea in the EPL, and that is enough reason why he should be starting alongside Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku and Odoi
Hudson Odoi naturally creates chances because of the way he plays. He is always direct and tries to beat defenders. In that process, he brings the ball into the box- an area where Romelu Lukaku can be very dangerous.
Hudson-Odoi is a striker’s dream as he likes laying it on for others to score. Odoi has had a run of games, and he has proven that he can be decisive, so he should start alongside Romelu Lukaku especially against Leicester City.
Lukaku has only scored four goals for Chelsea this season. Now that he is back with the group again, he will be looking to profit from Hudson Odoi, Ben Chilwell and Reece James’s good form also.
