Marcus Rashford, who underwent a shoulder operation during the summer holidays, has returned to training and he's expected to join the squad very soon.

Uruguayan star Edinson Cavani, who suffered a muscle injury in a friendly with Stoke City earlier this season, will return to training this week and join the rest of the squad in the upcoming days.

As such, when these players return, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have a lot of attacking options at his disposal.

In this article, we'll be exploring 3 ways the Norwegian tactician could set up his front-line when these players eventually return. Let's have a look:

Option A

The first option available for Ole is to play the trio of Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani, and Marcus Rashford.

In this setup, Ronaldo should be used as a left-winger while Cavani occupies the center-forward spot with Rashford staying on the right-wing.

Though the right-wing spot isn't Rashford's natural position, the Englishman has been used there a couple of times and he'll have no problems fitting in.

Option B

The second option available for the Reds is the option involving Jadon Sancho, Cavani, and Mason Greenwood.

In this case, Cavani should keep his place in the center-forward position while Sancho and Greenwood will be saddled with the responsibilities of creating chances from the wings.

Option C

The third option Ole could explore is the one involving Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

In this case, Ronaldo will take his usual place as a center-forward while Rashford stays in the left-wing-forward spot.

Anthony Martial will be staying in the right-wing-forward position.

Option D

In a situation whereby Ole decides to play with a formation involving 2 strikers. He could pair Marcus Rashford and Cristiano Ronaldo.

All these options are really formidable as it consists of a host of quality players. If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decides to use any of these options, they'll surely be able to deliver a lot of goals.

Which of these options do you think is more suitable for Manchester United when these injured players return?
