68 goals, 86 points: Madrid's journey to La liga crown.

It is no more news, that Real Madrid won their 34th LA liga crown yesterday. Coincidentally, it marks the second La liga title for Zinedine Zidane in his second spell as manager at Real Madrid.

In this article, we will take a look at how Madrid's statistics enroute to clinching the title. The goals they scored, conceded, top scorer and many more will be put into consideration.

Madrid started the season on a winning note. They triumph over Celta Vigo 1-3 away and cemented the trophy with a 2-1 home win against Villarreal yesterday with a game to spare. Overall, Madrid won 26 matches, loss 3 matches, drew 8 matches and kept 18 clean sheets. They won a total of 49 points at home and 37 points away. 

Madrid scored 68 goals while conceding a low 23 goals with a goal difference of 45.

Karim Benzeama led the goal scoring chart with 21 la liga goals and he his followed by veteran defender and club captain Sergio Ramos with who was instrumental after the coronavirus hiatus with 10 goals. Benzeama also tops the assist table with 8 assists, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos occupies 2nd and 3rd position respectively with 7 and 5 assists.
