Three Signings Zidane could make if he joins Manchester United

Manchester United could appoint Zinedine Zidane as their next manager. Ole's side have won only 2 of their last seven games. And if they are defeated by Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday night, the Glazers could make a change.

Manchester United were supposed to be a better team this season. The Red Devils were expected to be back to their swashbuckling best after signing Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane, and Cristiano Ronaldo. United, on the other hand, have regressed. They seem lost at the moment, a shadow of the side they once were.

With Solskjaer trying to get the most out of his star-studded squad, speculation of Zidane taking over has emerged. The France Legend is currently a free agent after departing Real Madrid for the second time this summer. In this article we'll be looking the 3 signings Zidane could make if he joins Manchester United;

A defender

During the summer transfer window, United tried to land Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid. And, considering the performances of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot this season, they may reconsider if Zidane takes over.

Wan-Bissaka has struggled going forward, with the Ex-Crystal Palace defender pale in contrast to Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold. Dalot, on the other hand, is the opposite,strong in attack but weak in defence.

During Zidane's time at Real Madrid, Dani Carvajal was a regular in his lineup.So it's likely that if he accepts the job at the Threatre of Dreams , he'll want a similar presence.

Central midfielder.

In the summer, the Norwegian tactician wanted a defensive midfielder in his squad, and he had interest from Eduardo Camavinga, Declan Rice, Ruben Neves, and Saul Niguez.

However, Ole was instructed to make do with what he had. The Manchester based outfit are vulnerable in the middle of the park, with Fred regressing after two years of steady development.

Zidane had Casemiro at Real Madrid. As a result, he's unlikely to be satisfied with the club's existing choices.

An Unselfish striker

While Uruguay Star, Cavani is unselfish, it's unclear how he'd react to being Manchester United's Karim Benzema. At Real Madrid, Benzema sacrificed goals in order to be a supplier for Cristiano Ronaldo.

They actually clicked when they clicked. And they pushed Real to three consecutive Champions League trophies during Zidane's stint as manager.

As a result, if the 49-year-old replaces the Norwegian gaffer, he may look for his own Benzema. Cavani, after all, is likely to leave England at the end of the campaign, with reports linking him to Boca Juniors, Barcelona, and Real Madrid.
