Worrying Signs As Tuchel Reveals The Extent Of Thiago Silva's Injury
Chelsea travelled to Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday in a tight battle to qualify for top 4 in the Premier League and they were on the winning side.
The blues won 0-1 on the night courtesy of a first half Jorginho penalty after Timo Werner was brought down by Eric Dier. The Italian dispatched the ball to Hugo Lloris right. After been stripped off the penalties duties by Frank Lampard, it seems Jorginho has been given back the responsibility by new coach Thomas Tuchel.
The game was a good one for the blues after dominating from the start where they had chances to kill off the game. But it was the injury to their key player Thiago Silva that will be the only negative from the game, and after the game the manager has revealed the extent of the injury.
"I saw Thiago with a big strap around his muscle but we have to wait. It's worrying because it's a muscle injury," said Tuchel. The defender was replaced by Danish defender Andreas Christensen and it ended in a clean sheet.
The Brazilian defender has been a positive signing since making his blues debut as he has somehow managed to keep his fellow defenders at the club on their right heads.
Chelsea fans will be hoping the injury won't be a bad one as he might dent their hopes to make top 4 after helping them climb up the table form 10th to 6th.
