France Legend Zinedine Zidane guided Real Madrid football club of Spain to win their 34th Spanish Laliga Santander title on Thursday night.
The Galactico have been unable to win the Spanish Laliga title since lifting it in 2016/2017 season. With rival Barcelona winning it back to back in 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 seasons.
Zinedine Zidane's Real Madrid found themselves two points behind Barcelona before the Spanish Laliga was postponed in March due to the emergence of Coronavirus Pandemic.
Real Madrid returned to the league with the full force, as they won all the ten matches played since Laliga returned.
Barcelona drew three of their nine matches played and that was enough for Real Madrid to overtake them in the league.
Zinedine Zidane's men knew a victory over Villarreal on Thursday will hand them the Spanish Laliga title, after leading Barcelona with four points, (before losing to Osasuna).
Fortunately for Real Madrid, Barcelona loss their home match against lowly rated Osasuna, and Karim Benzema's double goals against Villarreal were enough for Real Madrid to win the title for the first time in three years.
The Spanish Laliga Santander triumph means Zinedine Zidane won his 11th trophies for Real Madrid in just 209 matches, with the ratio of 19 matches per trophy.
