Stefano Pioli said in a press conference yesterday :
“Zlatan has an irritation. He tried it this morning, but it's pointless to take risks at this time of year. I imagine AC Milan with Zlatan, and I'm confident we'll see him again soon. Absences are unavoidable in football; I'll have to pick between Ante and Olivier, but we'll be fine.”
On Olivier Giroud :
“He won't be able to complete a full 90 because he'll be out for two weeks, but he'll be fine and available. Ante, on the other hand, is coming off a fantastic performance; I'm confident that they'll be ready, and that both of them have traits that blend nicely with the rest of the team.”
However, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic ruled out of today's UEFA Champions League match, it will be interesting to see if Oliver Giround can make an impact for AC Milan. Milan will also be entertaining to watch following a seven-year absence from European play.
