Many regard him as the best ever Nigerian goalkeeper because of his heroics and outstanding saves.
Extremely, charismatic, reliable, dependable and a leader. Vincent Enyeama was Nigeria's number 1 for a decade and some years (2002-2015). He was born on the 29th of August 1982 and plays as a goalkeeper and also has a nose for a goal.
Just as Enyeama's football career was beginning to rise, he nearly died. He was involved in a car crash two years after debuting in his first World cup. The crash left two passengers dead and the driver in critical condition.
Vincent Enyeama scored 20 career goals. 10 of them came when he was at Nigerian club side Enyimba and 8 at Israeli club side Hapoel Tel Aviv, where he was the penalty taker between 2007 and 2011.
In the international scene, Enyeama represented Nigeria at 3 World cups (2002, 2010 and 2014). He served as the captain from 2013-2015, when he retired from international football. He is also Nigeria's most capped player with 101 caps tied with Joseph Yobo.
