How Hazard & Lukaku's Brilliant Combo Might Help Chelsea Retain European Dominance If He Is Signed

The January transfer window is gradually closing in and teams are making their intentions about the players that they would want to sign known. Chelsea will be hoping to make some signings in the transfer window to strengthen their squad. Be it as it may, the blues are currently keeping tabs on their former star player, Eden Hazard.

Eden Hazard had a very splendid record as a Chelsea player after which he decided that it was time for him to take the next big step in his career. However, his move to Real Madrid did not turn out to be what he expected it to be. Chelsea on the other hand completed the signing of Romelu Lukaku last summer and the striker has not failed to make his mark in the Premier League.

The lineup below shows Chelsea's new-look if Tuchel combines Hazard and Lukaku in that attack without Jeopardizing Havertz and Mason Mount.

As seen in the lineup, the midfield combination will be altered to accommodate their very talented attack. Mason Mount will be dropping deep into that central midfield. Although he will play in a more advanced position. He will be expected to pair with Jorginho in that midfield. Ceasar Azplicueta will be starting as the main fullback alongside Marcus Alonso.

Hazard will be expected to start in that left attacking midfield position as he will be pairing with Kai Havertz who will be starting in that right attacking midfield position. Their combination will be expected to provide the adequate support needed by Romelu Lukaku upfront. Hazard and Romelu are expected to replicate their brilliant combination in their national team.

Eduard Mendy will still be maintaining his spot as the club's first-choice goalkeeper. He will be expected to have a back three which will consist of Thiago Silva, Andreas Christensen, and Antonio Rudiger.
