While Manchester United are regarded as one of the best teams in world football, Jose Mourinho has equally proven himself to be a master tactician with 21 years of managerial experience thus far. During the Portugese exploits in England, he had the privilege of managing the Red contingent of Manchester and despite the little success he attained, his untimely exit from the club seem to have poured cold water on the relationship between the two parties.
However, inspite of what differences that may exist between Mourinho and Manchester United, take a look at the one thing they both currently have in common.
They Last Won A Trophy In 2017
Coincidentally, Manchester United and Jose Mourinho haven't laid hands on any silverware since their Europa league success in 2017 and that was when both parties were still aligned together.
PhotosA year and six months after winning the Europa league, United fired the Portuguese on December 2018 which paved way for the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Since Mourinho left, the Red Devils haven't won a single trophy till date and the Portugese on the other hand has suffered similar fate following a failed spell at White Hart Lane which culminated into his sacking and subsequent appointment at Roma.
It goes without saying that United have won 66 trophies in their history while Mourinho has 25 silverwares to his name as a manager, with this in mind, their four years trophyless run is certainly an unwanted record, one that they will hope to bring an end to very soon.
Between Manchester United and Jose Mourinho, who do think will be first to win another trophy soon?
