Mourinho to punish five Roma players after disappointing performance

According to reports in Italy, Roma boss José Mourinho will punish five Roma players after their disappointing performance against Bodo/Glimt by sending them to the stands against Napoli.

The Giallorossi return to the pitch today at 17.00 UK time, hosting the Serie A leaders at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Roma suffered one of the most humiliating defeats in the club’s history on Thursday by losing 6-1 away against Bodo/Glimt in the Conference League.

Mourinho was clearly not pleased by the result and the performance of many of his players.

Among them are Borja Mayoral Amadou Diawara, Marash Kumbulla, Riccardo Calafiori and Gonzalo Villar.

They will pay the highest price for Roma’s embarrassing defeat in Europe as the Portuguese will send them to the stands for today’s game against Napoli, according to Calciomercato.com

Roma have no injuries or suspensions, but they still won’t be available for the Giallorossi, who have lost two games in a row this week, facing defeats against Juventus in Serie A and Bodo/Glimt in the Europa Conference League.

Roma sit fourth in the Serie A table, ten points off leaders Milan, who have a game in hand after last night’s win over Bologna.
