The English premier league competition returned to action yesterday, and as such, alot of drama were displayed.
The first match that was played in the competition yesterday, was between Liverpool and Burnley. Liverpool who has been on top form in recent weeks, hosted and defeated Burnley at the Anfied stadium by 2 goals to nothing, all thanks to Sadio Mane and Diego Jota who scored Liverpool's goals.
Moments after Liverpool secured all 3 points against Burnley, Leeds United then played a disappointing 2:2 draw with Everton at the Elland Road stadium.
Thereafter, Manchester City who were defeated by tottenham hotspur last weekend, then hosted and defeated newly promoted team (Norwich) at the Etihad stadium by 5 goals to nothing.
After all matches were played yesterday, below is how the premier league table now looks like with Liverpool occupying the first position following their victory over Burnley yesterday. Manchester City on the other hand, moved up to 5th position on the EPL table.
