Over the weekend, the English Premier League resumed after an eventful mid-week of games. Chelsea secured their second win in the league, following their qualification for the Champions League quarter-finals after beating Dortmund. 
They defeated Leicester City 3-1, which significantly improved their chances of qualifying for European competition next season. Meanwhile, Manchester City narrowly beat Crystal Palace, increasing pressure on Arsenal.
Arsenal maintained their position at the top of the table after winning against Fulham, with Gabriel, Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard making significant contributions. Manchester United, however, had a tough time during their game against Southampton.
Despite having several chances to score in the first half, they could not break the deadlock. The game became more intense in the second half, with both teams creating numerous goal-scoring opportunities. Casemiro received a red card for a dangerous tackle on a Southampton midfielder.
The London Stadium witnessed a fierce battle between West Ham United and Aston Villa. Meanwhile, Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers' match was scheduled for later in the day.
