Atalanta pulled a goal back in the fixture through Luis Muriel in the 83rd minute to make it 2-1.

Real Madrid responded quickly as Marcos Asensio secured the match win for his side by scoring in the 85th minute to bring the scoreline to 3-1 at full time.

Real Madrid will now make preparations to take on Celta Vigo at the Abanca Balaidos on Saturday, March 20.
