Malang Sarr Speaks On Fighting For His Place In The Chelsea Squad Next Season.

Chelsea French defender, Malang Sarr has notified the media of his plans of fighting for his place in the Chelsea squad next season as he's planning to impress and convince Thomas Tuchel in the forthcoming preseason games.

Chelsea signed Sarr from Nice on a free transfer last year after his contract expired at the French club. The 21-year-old was then sent out on loan to Porto where he spent the whole of the 2020/21 season. Sarr had a total of 27 appearances with the Portuguese club and he scored two goals as Porto finished second in Primeira Liga's table.

Sarr is now back at Cobham for friendly games as he has a contract that expires in 2026 with Chelsea.

So, Sarr in his interview started by saying: It’s a pleasure to be here (at Chelsea), they are working very hard and very well so he's happy.

"I haven't spoken a little bit with the manager. I have a good feeling here I can feel everybody is ambitious. I want to work hard and try to improve in every aspect." He said

However, Sarr said he hopes to join the team and help the team to the top. Because Chelsea finished last season as Kings of Europe, and now, he's here to help and to let the team stay at the highest level.

"I know the club is ambitious and I am ambitious as well, so it’s a perfect match," Sarr added

Nonetheless, the decision to slot Sarr into the squad for next season depends on Thomas Tuchel as the ex-Nice defender will be facing competition from the likes Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christensen, Thiago Silva, and Antonio Rudiger.
