Epl: 5 Most Impressive Chelsea Players In Today's Game

Chelsea football club resumes its domestic duty with a match against Southampton at Stamford Bridge. The London put their midday disappointment behind them and showed they are ready to challenge for the EPL trophy.

The Blues won the match by 3 goals to 1, which were scored by Trevor Chalobah, Timo Werner, and Ben Chilwell.

As much as everyone gave their best for the cause of the team, they all can not be recognized for their outstanding performances.

However, I will be talking about 5 players who were most impressive in the match against the Saints.

(1) Mason Mount

The England international started the match on the bench but with the game tie 1-1, he was brought in to replace Callum Hudson Odoi.

Mason Mount made an immediate impression, winning several free-kicks and changing the dimension of the play and Chelsea eventually won the match by 3 goals to 1.

(2) Trevor Chalobah

The youngster was handed another premier league start and he took it with both hands.

Trevor Chalobah caps his wonderful performance with a goal. He was solid at the back and was influential in the final third of the pitch.

(3) Timo Werner

The German international star was very impressive in today's match, scoring a wonderful goal which was ruled out by VAR for an offense committed in the build-up play.

Timo Werner eventually register his name on the scoresheet and he was also given the man of the match award for his wonderful outing.

(4) Ross Barkley

The England international had a cameo appearance and immediately showed what he is made of.

Ross Barkley was involved in Timo Werner's goal, he laid a wonderful pass for Azpilicueta and the captain took the final pass that led to the second goal.

(5) Ruben Loftus-Cheek

The England international had one of his best performances in recent years.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek safeguard the midfield and he was laying those dangerous passes in the final third of the pitch before he was substituted.
