League leaders, Atletico madrid survived a serious scare in the title race after falling behind to Osasuna but fought back to win thanks to goals from Brazilian defender, Renan Lodi and Uruguayan striker, Luis Suarez.
Moving further down the table, Alaves secured there safety and a place in La Liga next season with a 4-2 win over Granada.
Getafe are also assured of safety after they defeated Levante to move four points clear of the drop zone with only a single round of matches left to be played in the league this season.
