Chelsea Offer £60m Plus Abraham For Top Striker
It's no longer news that Chelsea are looking to bring Erling Haaland to west London this summer. But with Dortmund's past refusal to let the player go, many thought the blues interest in the player would cool off. However, according to the latest reports from TEAMtalk, a credible journalist, Ekrem Konur, has now said that Chelsea has made a £60 million bid, plus Tammy Abraham, for the services of Erling Haaland. Since his move to Dortmund, Haaland has transformed into one of Europe's elite strikers. And there is no doubt that he would be an improvement to Chelsea's attack but that's if a deal is completed.
Ronaldo to meet with agent amid Exit
Cristiano Ronaldo who has been heavily linked to return to Manchester United, is set to meet with his agent Jorge Mendes soon to discuss whether his future lies at Juventus or elsewhere, say reports. The Portuguese forward’s future has been the subject of speculation for months now, as he approaches the final year of his contract in Turin. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Ronaldo and Mendes will consider the future, and both club and player are prepared for the prospect of him leaving Turin this summer. The problem the 36-year-old faces is that very few clubs in the world could afford his wage demands, and those who might make a move, Manchester United, Real Madrid and PSG, are yet to make an offer. Speculation over Ronaldo’s future quietened down over the last couple of weeks while the Euros were on, but we can expect it to kick back into life now that Portugal have been eliminated.
Gilmour sets to complete medical
Chelsea seems to be getting straight into business as regards preparing the team for the new season ahead. They are already marking out players to be sold, those that are meant to go on loan and those that are meant to stay. One of the players that are meant to go out on loan is Billy Gilmour. The youngster has already agreed a season-long loan deal with Premier League new boys, Norwich City. He's been scheduled to undergo his medical once he's out of quarantine. Gilmour was already close to a loan move in the last January transfer window before the deal was blocked by Thomas Tuchel who was just arriving at Chelsea at the time. Tuchel ordered that he stays so he would have the chance to watch him from close angles.
Gunners target Benfica youngster in left-back hunt
Benfica youngster Nuno Tavares is wanted by Arsenal to provide competition for Kieran Tierney, according to reports. The Scotland international is currently the only natural left-back in the Gunners squad, something the Premier League club are keen to address during the summer transfer window. Sky Sports reports that Arsenal are interested in Tavares, a 21-year-old Portuguese full-back who has been capped at Under-21 level by his country. Tavares was not a regular for Benfica last season, making seven league starts all season as the Lisbon club finished third. But he has caught the eye of Gunners scouts with his ability to get forward and threaten in the final third with dangerous crosses. Arsenal are short in the left-back department and Tierney’s injury problems last season highlighted the issue.
Pep Guardiola has 'no problem sacrificing Gabriel Jesus' to sign Harry Kane
Pep Guardiola has no problem 'sacrificing' Gabriel Jesus to sign Harry Kane this summer, according to a report. Manchester City have serious interest in making a move for the England captain during the transfer window, after the striker expressed his desire to leave Spurs in pursuit of a new challenge to compete for silverware. Guardiola's men can offer him precisely that after securing the Premier League title last season. But Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has no intention to sell his prized asset with claims City will be required to up their £100m offer that has been reported. To sweeten the deal, City have offered either Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez, Aymeric Laporte, Bernardo Silva and Jesus, who is currently on international duty with Brazil at the Copa America, as a makeweight in a potential part-exchange for Kane.
