Chelsea FC is the first in history to score over 100 Premier League goals

Chelsea football club is the first club in the Premier League history to score over 100 goals in a single season.

The Blues, during the 2009/10 Premiership campaign, scored 103 goals, thus becoming the first football club in the history of the competition to score over 100 goals.

This record was achieved under then manager, Carlo Ancelotti. It was the club's first season coached by the Italian.

The goals were scored by the following 14 players:

Drogba = 29

Lampard = 22

Malouda = 12

Anelka = 11

Kalou = 5

Ballack = 4

Cole = 4

Essien = 3

Deco = 2

Terry = 2

Joe Cole = 2

Sturridge = 1

Ivanovic = 1

Alex = 1

Own goals = 4

This season was the first time in history, the club completed the double by winning the Premier League and FA Cup.

2009/10 season was Chelsea's 18th consecutive season in the English top flight division and their 104th year in existence as a football club.
