Without much doubts, Chelsea football club will be looking to continue their good run of form when they resume their Premier League duties on Sunday.
The Blues will definitely be in high spirits as they look to maintain their first position in the Premier League when they host Manchester United on Sunday.
And ahead of that match, Chelsea could now be rocked with reports that experienced left-back Ben Chilwell has suffered a knee injury which is expected to keep him out of the match, and the season at large.
The 24-year-old England International, who joined Chelsea after leaving Leicester City in 2020 has been an important member of the first-team squad since he made the move.
The young left-back enjoyed an interesting 2020/2021 season where he scored four goals and recorded seven assists in 42 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea.
Ben Chilwell also started the ongoing season on a bright note and has scored three goals and created two assists in the 12 matches he has played so far.
But then, he sustained a serious knee injury in the match against Juventus on Tuesday night and according to reports from Daily Mail, he could now miss the rest of the season.
That will come as a bad news to manager Thomas Tuchel who has guided Chelsea to the top of the Premier League table after 12 matches in the league this season.
With Ben Chilwell unavailable, it remains to be seen how Thomas Tuchel will tweak his side as they prepare for the visit of Manchester United to the Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening.
