With three premier league games remaining, they continues to be strong interests of how Manchester united will finish the season with four points separating them from third place Chelsea, after Chelsea defeated Norwich 1-0 at Stamford bridge on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile,Manchester united are said to be preparing for next season as the club is being continuously linked with some players and they are one of few teams who will have money to spend this summer despite the corona virus outbreak which have had an impact on the finances of football clubs.
But according to reports,Manchester united have agreed to deal to sign Real Madrid's 17-year-old fullback Alvaro Fernandez Carreras.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was given a concern about his defenders after Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams went off injured against Southampton.
The Red Devils have already been linked with moves for high value defenders such as Kalidou Koulibaly.
But Spanish outlet AS have reported that Solskjaer has already taken steps to bolster his options at the back, recruiting Carreras.
The 17-year-old has signed a contract at United for the next four season, playing in the academy at Carrrington.
He has already picked up some impressive experience, arriving at the Bernabeu from Deportivo de la Coruna’s academy in 2017.
Carreras then worked his way up the squads, from Cadete B and A before heading to Juvenil C this season.
The Spaniard is known in the Madrid squad for his ability to win the back back as well as being intelligent on the field.
But the 17-year-old managed to score an incredible solo goal for Cadete A last season, running from the left wing before curling into the bottom right corner of the net.
And Carreras could have a good chance of getting first team action under Solskjaer, who has given opportunities to several academy players this season.
One of them is Mason Greenwood, who has scored 18 goals to form a lethal trio with Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.
But the Englishman is unlikely to feature against Crystal palace after suffering a rough tackle in the 2-2 draw against Southampton.
"I'll give Luke Shaw as much time as possible, him and Mason, their ankles are swollen and a bit blown up," Solskjaer told MUTV.
“I’ll give them as much recovery time as possible to give them a chance. Brandon Williams should be fine, he has a gash over the eye but if he can see out of it then...
“We've not trained obviously this morning yet but we'll hopefully have two, maybe all three of them."
Is this a good move for Manchester united?
