1. Ruben Loftus Cheek.
The 25-year-old Englishman was the best player for Chelsea in today's game against Malmö in Sweden. Loftus Cheek missed Chelsea's last 2 games due to a suspected injury problem but today, he was brought back into the starting lineup and he impressed again.
2. Thiago Silva.
Malmö attacked Chelsea today more than they did in their previous game against the Blues at Stamford Bridge. Thiago Silva was class all through and he singlehandedly stopped a few, dangerous Malmö attacks before they even reached Chelsea's goal post.
In a game where Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz were relatively quiet all through, Calum Hudson Odoi was Chelsea's main threat in an attack against Malmö. Provided the assist for Ziyech's goal and could have had one as well.
1. Soeren Rieks.
The Malmö defender started as the left wing-back against Chelsea today and he contributed very little in the game. Was often beaten 1v1 against Calum Hudson Odoi and was substituted in the 58th minute.
2. Sergio Pena.
Pena was one of Malmö worst players against Chelsea today. He was completely outclassed in midfield by Jorginho for the majority of the first half. Had to be taken off early in the second half.
3. Sabastian Nanasi.
Nanasi started as one of the two strikers for Malmö today against Chelsea but he put in a quiet performance against the UCL Champions. This was due to Malmö defensive approach and Nanasi was often left isolated against the likes of Thiago Silva and Christensen in the game.
