Manchester United finally secured their first victory in the UEFA Champions League this season as they fought really hard in the competition this week. The Red Devils performed brilliantly as they claimed a narrow 2-1 victory over Villarreal at the Old Trafford Stadium on Wednesday. The English team displayed a brilliant performance in the match as Alex Telles and Ronaldo both scored to give Man United their first three points of the competition.
Ole Gunnar Solksjaer's exit from Man United looked very visible at some point in the game when his team were struggling to get an important victory against Villarreal. Cristiano Ronaldo showed up in the last minute of the match as he scored a late winning goal for Man United which might have eased the pressure on Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.
But the question remains if Ole Gunnar Solksjaer would have been sacked if Ronaldo didn't score that late winning goal against Villarreal. Well, it looked very possible following Man United's poor form in the competition this season. Cristiano Ronaldo's late intervention might have been the only reason why Ole Gunnar Solksjaer wasn't sacked.
