Christensen Scores His First Chelsea Goal As He Makes 137 Appearance For The Blues Today

Chelsea cruised to a 4-0 victory over Malmo in Champions League Group H on Wednesday despite losing Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner to injuries.

Andreas Christensen put the Blues ahead early into the contest as he volleyed home an excellent cross from Thiago Silva and their advantage was doubled soon after as Jorginho converted from the penalty spot.

That spot-kick was won by Romelu Lukaku, who was scythed down and was forced off with an ankle problem. Timo Werner then followed the striker off the pitch with an injury of his own. Both will be doubts for the visit of Norwich on Saturday.

Christensen was first included in a Chelsea senior squad for their last game of the 2012–13 season on 19 May 2013, but did not feature in the match, which ended a 2–1 home win over Everton in Rafael Benítez's last match as manager.

In the pre-season tour of the United States before the 2013–14 season, he was part of the senior team squad and signed a professional contract thereafter.
