The former Wolfsburg star started the game from the bench due to tactical reason but was introduced in the early minutes of the second half for Hirving Lozano and he was able to prove himself yet again.
Victor Osimhen after coming off the bench was able to contribute his quota as he scored a goal which was instrumental in his team's three goals to nil victory that placed them at the 2nd spot on the table.
The first half of the game was very intensed with nothing to separate the two sides as it ended goalless draw going into the half time break.
The second half of the game was more intriguing as they both displayed some dazzling skills but none was not able to break the deadlock until the 76th minute when Lorenzo Insigne put his side ahead to make it one nil.
The goal opener in the 80th minute set up an assist for Victor Osimhen who doubled the lead for the host to make it two goals to nil before Matteo Politano got on the score sheet in the 95th minute to make it three goals to nil.
After all other attempts from both sides to add more to the tally of the night, all proved abortive as it ended three nil at full time.
Victor Osimhen with his goal of the night has now taken his tally in the competition to four goals in three matches which as such made him 2nd joint-top scorer alongside Leicester City's Patson Daka.
