Two English Premier League giants Mikel Arteta's Arsenal football club and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United have discovered their opponents in the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League on Friday afternoon, after the European football governing body popularly known as UEFA released the draw, hours after the return leg of the round of 32 were played.
Manchester United defeated Spanish Laliga Santander giants Real Sociedad 4-0 on aggregate in the round of 32, to book their spot in in round of 16, while Mikel Arteta's Arsenal football club came from 2-1 down to defeat Jorge Jesus' Benfica FC 3-2 at Emirates Stadium on Thursday night, and that helped them to qualify for the round of 16 of the competition.
All the 16 remaining team have now been drawn by the UEFA, ahead of the round of 16 clash that will start in March.
Three English Premier League clubs qualified for the round of 16, and only Brendan Rodgers led Leicester City crashed out, after losing 2-0 on aggregate to Jindrich Trpisovsky led Slavia Prague football club of Czech Republic on Thursday night.
Jose Mourinho's Tottenham Hotspur, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United, and Mikel Arteta led Arsenal football club have all qualified for the round of 16, and they've discovered their opponents.
Arsenal FC will face Greece Super League Champions Olympiacos FC in the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United will also face one of the tournament's favourite Inter Milan football club of Italy.
Olympiacos ended Arsenal's hope of lifting the UEFA Europa League last season, after defeating the Gunners at Emirates Stadium to progress to the next round of the competition.
