See Another Nigerian Goalkeeper That Recently Signed For Cypriot Side APOEL From Deportivo

Super Eagles Goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho has joined Cypriot side APOEL FC on a three year deal from Spanish Deportivo. 


He spent the last year on loan at city rivals Omonia Nicosia while also wining the league. 

Uzoho In October 2017, received his first call-up to the Nigerian senior squad, making his full international debut on 14 November, replacing Daniel Akpeyi in a 4–2 friendly win against Argentina. 


Francis Uzoho at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia became the second youngest goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet in a World Cup match (19 years, 237 days), behind only Li Chan-myong in North Korea's 1-0 win over Italy in July 1966 (19 years, 198 days). 


He sustained a ligament injury in October 2019 in an international friendly match against Brazil while undergoing surgery in November 2019.

The 21 year-old in recent season have being on loan at Elche CF, Anorthosis and Omonia Nicosia.
