Super Eagles of Nigeria defender Kevin Akpoguma was outstanding for German Bundesliga giants Hoffenheim football club on Saturday evening, as he guided them to a remarkable 3-1 comeback victory over Wolfsburg football club.
The Nigerian international was dropped to the bench by coach Sebastian Hoeness, and he was exceptional after being introduced to the pitch.
Kevin Akpoguma was introduced to the pitch in the early minutes of the second half, and he was able to contribute to one of his team's goals.
The visitors took the lead through Ridle Baku in the 25th minutes before Andrej Kramaric equalized for the home team in the 45th minutes to end the match 1-1.
Christoph Baumgartner made it 2-1 in the 74th minutes before Pavel Kaderabek scored the last goal of the game in the 81st minutes via a fine teamwork from Nigerian Kevin Akpoguma to end the match 2-1.
Kevin Akpoguma was superb for the home team after being introduced in the second half of the game, and he was able to impress in his team's comeback victory.
The 3-1 victory over Wolfsburg football club has now taken Hoffenheim FC to the 9th spot of the German Bundesliga table with 8 points from 6 matches played.
