UEFA Champions League

Chelsea possible lineup to start against Malmö FF

Chelsea will look to get back to winning ways in the Champions League as they welcome Malmö FF to Stamford Bridge in the Matchday 3 of the UEFA Champions League Group H encounter.

The Thomas Tuchel side are second in group behind Italian Serie A side Juventus, who secured a 1-0 win over them the last time out in the competition.

Malmö are bottom of the group after losing their first two matches so far.

Chelsea secured a 5-1 aggregate win over the Swedish side en route to their Europa League win in 2019.

Édouard Mendy was the hero for Chelsea in the win over Brentford in the Premier League and should keep his place ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga

Thiago Silva missed the game against Brentford after returning late from the international break with Brazil but will start this game, Rudiger also missed the game against Brentford with a back issue but could start this game with Azpilicueta joining them to make the back three

Reece James could make his first start since going off injured against Manchester City. He will possibly line up in the right wing-back

Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic could partner in the defensive midfield with Alonso joining them in the left wingback, leaving Ben Chilwell to drop to the bench

Romelu Lukaku will look to end his mini drought as he start up front with Mason Mount and Kai Havertz joining him in attack

Chelsea predicted XI

: Mendy; James, Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger , Alonso; Jorginho, Kovacic ; Mount, Havertz, Lukaku
