Pep Guardiola has already complained that he does not know how to stop PSG's attack when Manchester City and PSG meet in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night. However, Pep Guardiola must not fail to understand the importance of not focusing too much on the attacking threats of PSG.

During the match, Guardiola must never become too cautious of PSG's attacking threats that he forgets to urge his team to mount pressure on PSG's fragile defense. No football manager can ever successfully come up with a plan which can nullify PSG's attack. Guardiola will be completely wasting his time if he is thinking about stopping PSG's attack.
The best thing for Guardiola and his boys to do is to focus on attacking PSG from start to finish. Manchester City must focus on its attack instead of thinking too much about what PSG has to offer. As we have seen in the past, PSG's defense is fragile and it can't withstand constant pressure over a prolonged period.

If Guardiola can get his boys to control the game, PSG's attack will be too busy defending that they will forget about mounting their assault on Manchester City. No team can keep Messi, Neymar, Mbappe, and Di Maria quiet in a football match without making sure that they don't see the ball often.
If a manager prepares his team with the mindset of stopping PSG's attack from scoring a goal in a match, that team has already prepared the platform upon which they will lose woefully. The best thing to do when playing against PSG is to get your team to be prepared to outscore PSG in the match.

PSG loves to play free-flowing football with their defenders constantly joining other players in attack. The best way for Guardiola to benefit from PSG's style of play is to urge his boys to hit them on the counter anytime their players surge forward. The advantage of having Neymar, Mbappe, and Messi as your opponents is that their marking abilities are very poor and Manchester City defenders won't be under any serious pressure when Manchester City has the ball.

Guardiola must avoid a situation whereby he starts thinking too much about stopping PSG's attack because truth is told, PSG's attack can't be stopped. The only thing that can be done to PSG is to get the first goal of the match and focus more on outscoring them. Football is a game of momentum. Guardiola must make sure that the momentum stays with his team throughout the match.
