19-year old Karim Adeyemi scores on debut for Germany

Karim Adeyemi is officially off from the list of Nigerian players in the diaspora that can play for the Super Eagles after he made his competitive debut for the German national team on Sunday night in their World Cup qualifying match against Armenia.

The 19-year old who was born in Munich, Germany, to a Nigerian father and Romanian mother came on as a 72nd-minute substitute for Serge Gnabry and he marked his debut with a goal as Germany whipped Armenia 6-0.

The goal by Adeyemi was the icing on the cake for Germany as they match on in their qualification quest for Qatar 2022.

Germany had taken a four-goal lead from the first half where Gnabry scored twice in the sixth and 15th minutes before goals from Marco Reus in the 35th minute and Timo Werner 10 minutes after saw the Germans cruising.

Jonas Hofmann's 52nd-minute goal was initially looking like the last in the game before Adeyemi popped up with late goal two minute into stoppage time.
