Jack Wilshere who spent majority of his Arsenal’s career on the treatment table, had 125 league appearances as he managed to score 7 goals in his 10-year spell with the Gunners (Jack Wilshere, was once regarded as the best English midfielder, following his Champions League heroics against Barcelona few years ago).
Jack Wilshere’s return is not on a contract basis, as Arsenal are only helping him to get back to shape and also for him to get his coaching badge (Jack Wilshere’s contract with Bournemouth was terminated at the end last season). According to Arsenal’s manage Mikel Arteta, he revealed that the club is happy to have Jack Wilshere back as he is an important member of the club’s history (Jack Wilshere started his career from Arsenal’s youth team in 2001 for being promoted to the senior team by Arsene Wenger when he was just 18 year-old).
Jack Wilshere’s return, can be of great benefit to Arsenal, as he could help mentor other young players with his experience and wealth of knowledge. The likes of Emile Smith-Rowe, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Folarin Balogun, Kieran Tierney and Martin Odegaard could benefit from Jack Wilshere’s presence.
However, Jack Wilshere is not the only player who Arsenal have helped in recent times, as Emmanuel Eboue (Eboue played for Arsenal at right back between 2004 and 2011 amassing 214 appearances across all competition) also benefited from Arsenal’s good will when he was in financial crisis years ago (Arsenal helped Eboue when he lost all his assets to his wife after their divorce case). According to Eboue, the divorce saga meant he could not see his children neither was he able to pay for a decent accommodation for himself.
