WAFU Nations Cup: We will Give Our Best Against Ghana, Flying Eagles Skipper Reassures.

The flying eagles of Nigeria kicked off its WAFU B nations cup on a disheartning note as the Ladan Bosso tutored side shared the spoils against the Ivorian U20 side.

Determined flying eagles side showed lots of class against its Ivorian counterpart and was rewarded with a goal which the team defended stoutly to ensure a lead heading into the locker room.

On a surge for a security goal, the Flying Eagles felled short of a man as their rock solid centre back, Christopher Nwaeze was given a marching order for second booking after a rash challenge on its opponent.

Regardless being a man down, determined Flying Eagles side strived to cope and bag maximum points but luck ran outta of the team as they Ivorian U20 levelled up with minutes left in the normal game time.

Speaking with the team skipper after the disappointing result, Lambert Chibueze reassured of his teammates picking the positives from the game and are looking forward to the next game against Ghana.

"A disappointing game it was, we played as a team and got a deserving goal but Nwaeze red card counted against us"

"Anyone can be shown a red card and its not the intention of any player to get a red card, we have moved foward and we have our mind focused in getting it right against Ghana"

"I plea for maximum support from all Nigerians and we promise to make them proud in our subsequent matches, Lambert concluded.
