United who had been favorites for the fa cup encounter were surprisingly out ran, out played and out smarted by a Chelsea team that weren't playing to full capacity.
The game represented both teams only shot at silverware this season and Man United showed up with a weakened team, courtesy of their Belgian manager.
The former United striker decided to rest key players for the game. Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, and Mason Greenwood were surprised absentees as the United team sheet was presented. He also admitted that he had one eye in United's encounter with westham in mid week.

He said: "We picked a team to give us a best possible opportunity to go through in the cup and be ready for Wednesday. It didn't work today. We had to change things at half-time when Eric came off but that will stand us in good stead for Wednesday. I picked the team today to go through.
De gea was also at fault for two of Chelsea's goals as the Blues ended Manchester United's long unbeaten run stretching 19 games.
