Thomas Tuchel has come out to defend his tactics in the first half that saw city got a goal. He blamed it on an individual error which any one could commit at any time. A slip from Andrea Christensen led to Manchester City's well deserved lead in the first half of the game.
Tuchel stated in his post match interview "It was not a tactical problem, it was not a big drama out there in the first half, it wasn't just the last three or four minutes. We had an individual situation with Andreas (Christensen) where he slipped and unfortunately got a bit injured and we conceded a goal."
The win sees Chelsea strength their grip on the chance of finishing the season in the top four as they widen the gap between them and West Ham United to six points.
The win also saw Chelsea delayed Manchester City's party.
