The battle for this year's league titles and Champions League title is a tough one. Certain managers will have to deliver at their very best if they still want to remain managers of their current club going forward. Here are five European managers that might be sacked this season if they don't win any trophy for their club.
Barcelona are not in a great shape, Ronald Koeman's exit from Barcelona might come sooner than expected looking at their current form. Ronald Koeman can still redeem himself by seeing the team through the Spanish La Liga and the Champions League and winning a trophy. It's certain Ronald Koeman's career as a Barcelona manager will be over if he fails to win a trophy this season. Barcelona still have one of the best squad in Europe despite Lionel Messi's exit.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær's future at Manchester United is still unclear, he has stayed two seasons without winning a trophy despite having one of the best squads in Europe. Manchester United board made the necessary signings this summer, it's up to Ole Gunnar Solskjær to win a trophy. Ole Gunnar Solskjær could go down as one of Manchester United's biggest failures if he fails to win a trophy with his current squad. They were close to winning the Europa League trophy last season but Villarreal ended up lifting the trophy.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær can still redeem himself this season, he's already out of the Carabao Cup, the Premier League title, Champions League and the FA Cup are the three competitions left for Manchester United. It's certain Ole Gunnar Solskjær will be dismissed if he fails to win a trophy this season.
3. Nuno Espírito Santo
Tottenham Hotspur initially had a great start to the season, winning three of their first games. They conceded nine goals in their next three matches including two London derbies. Nuno Espírito Santo has the UEFA Europa Conference league, the Carabao Cup, the FA Cup title. The race for the Premier League title is still on, Nuno Espírito Santo can redeem himself by winning one of these available trophies. By the way things are already going, Nuno Espírito Santo might be dismissed if he fails to win a trophy.
4. Massimiliano Allegri
Juventus had a rough start to the Serie A season, they are currently no where near the top four spot. One of the reasons why Juventus dismissed Andrea Pirlo was his failure in the Champions League and his struggle to finish in the top four spot. Looking at how they've started the season, Juventus might end up struggling to finish in the Champions League spot. Massimiliano Allegri's side will have to keep their current form going if they want to win a trophy. Massimiliano Allegri's job as Juventus' manager will be at stake if he fails to win a trophy.
5. Thomas Tuchel
Thomas Tuchel already won two major trophies in less than six months with Chelsea. Chelsea have one of the best squads in Europe this season after they signed Romelu Lukaku. Thomas Tuchel will definitely be at fault if he fails to win a trophy this season. Chelsea are also fond of letting their managers leave after a failed season. Thomas Tuchel's side are already in the race for the Premier League title and have been performing well in all competitions, they'll have to keep it that way if they want to win a trophy this season.
