Transfer News: Super Eagles striker joins Tunisian club despite interest from European club

Super Eagles striker Anayo Iwuala joined Esperance of Tunisia after the conclusion of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

The Enyimba winger has been the revelation this season in the NPFL. He has attracted attention with his pace, skills, and technical ability.

His performance in the league also attracted Gernot Rohr who gave him his Super Eagles debut against the Republic of Benin.

According to the club, the promising Nigeria winger has signed a three-year contract. However, the details of his transfer were not disclosed.

Before signing for the Tunisian side, the Nigerian winger attracted interest from various clubs in Europe.

He was linked with Elche, Eupen, Metz, Angers, Malmo, and Molde.

The interests made Enyimba slammed a one million euro valuation on him.

Anayo made three appearances for Nigeria and made thirty-two appearances for Enyimba in the league. He scored four goals and did not provide any assist.
