Arsenal will be desperate to add an attacking midfielder to their positions if they can't take Martin Odegaard permanently this summer.
As revealed by football. London recently, the Gunners have reserved four places that they wish to reinforce including both left-back and center attacking midfielder.
It is unknown if Arsenal will take Martin Odegard on another loan or a permanent transfer. Considering that, Gunners may need to look somewhere else to find their drawn-out replacement for Mesut Ozil.
Arsenal has been firmly linked with Aston Villa star Jack Grealish and Houssem Aouar of Lyon trying to support their attacking midfield choice. However, their transfer value could put Arsenal out of the race.
Arsenal could go to the previous target Manuel Locatelli, who is at present on the books of Sassuolo. The 23-year-old was their target back in 2016 when he was only 18-years of age while on the books of AC Milan.
As per a report by Goal, Arsenal had been exploring the Italian for quite a while and had made contact about trying to get a deal completed to bring him to north London.
The 23-year-old has been a key member of Roberto De Zerbi’s Sassuolo squad this season, contributing to five goals from 26 Serie A appearances so far.
