The super eagles of Nigeria began their road to next year World Cup by beating Liberia by two goals to nothing. The team played their best against the hungry Liberian team who were unable to find the back of the net in the encounter. In spite of the fact that Nigeria won the match, two things were obvious.
The Pitch was poor
The pitch where the super eagles played their game against the Liberian team was very poor as it was noticeable all the time. The players were seeing constantly trying to have better control of the ball due to the nature of the pitch. Most times the ball was not easy to control due to irregular bouncing. That contributed to Nigeria not being able to score more than two goals as most of their attacks went wasted.
The Coach need to do more work
The Nigeria Super Eagles' coach has a lot of work to do. The team played quite well but they were below expectations. Nigeria has the quality of players to thrash the Liberian team with more than two goals. If the needed motivation and the right selection is made, the Super Eagles could make history with the current crop of players in the team.
