Patrick Vieira, the manager of Crystal Palace, has explained why his club lost to Arsenal 2-0 in the Premier League opener on Friday.
At Selhurst Park, Vieira saw Arsenal upset Crystal Palace thanks to goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Marc Guehi (own goal).
The Frenchman feels, however, that Crystal Palace's loss against Arsenal was caused by his players' failure to capitalise on their opportunities against the Gunners.
The Frenchman, according to Sky Sports, claimed that the difference between the two teams was that Arsenal took advantage of their opportunities while his squad did not.
He claimed that his team had an extremely strong second half but didn't capitalise on its opportunities.
Viera admitted that despite the fact that they didn't create a lot of chances during the game, he was unhappy since he anticipated they could score a few goals.
Football, he claimed, is all about trying to score goals, especially when playing against a strong team.
